Nearly 66% of Rhode Island’s registered voters cast ballots in the Nov. 5 election, with the highest turnout in 16 years, according to certified results approved by the Rhode Island Board of Elections on Friday.

There will be several high-profile spots up for grabs with a Trump presidency, as well as hundreds of others in the Plum Book.

Although the election just ended, we’re looking ahead to 2026 when there will be a lot of major races on the ballot in Rhode Island.

The federal government was never going to be the best hope to ramp up housing supply quickly, but many states are experimenting and ready to try.
